Designs are inspired by the earliest jewelry knives of Juho Kustaa Lammi (1861 – 1901) and Iisakki Järvenpää (1859 – 1929).

Rautalampi knife

The only known Savonese traditional knife. The developer and most famous creator of the model was the blacksmith Emil Hänninen (1869 – 1952) from Rautalampi.

Basic model

  • carbon steel blade, length 95 mm, width 17 mm
  • head birch, oil-treated, length 100 mm, new silver (alpaca) straps
  • cowhide sheath, fully decorated. Dyed with grain colors as a coating GW Matox
